Solange knowles has truly blossomed into one of my the most inspirationally and talented women of colour of the last century. scrap that. on of the most inspirational and talented women full stop. Successfully Forging a career in her own right from recording music artist and record label owner to creative director, mother And wife, Solange is truly an incredible woman and icon. We have seen her evolution played out in front of our eyes from teenage pregnancy to self-discovery, solange gives us all a voice to be who we are unapologetically and completely and most importantly, blackly.

From her all white wedding captured by vogue in 2014 to collaborating with sneaker brand puma in creating a collection named word to the woman, celebrating women who innovate and redefine roles in all walks of life. Everyone remembers the deserved hype around her most recent and third album ‘ a seat at the table’ released in 2016 by Saint Records and Columbia records. The album was critically acclaimed and her first number 1 on the billboard 200 with her lead single ‘ cranes in the Sky’ winning a Grammy award and best r&b performance. Go solange. Not only this but at a time of continuous police on black crime at its highest, solange capulated the mood of black girls and women everywhere. A seat at the table spoke to people on a deeper level both aesthetically and cultural. Solange started writing this album in 2008 were she went through a great deal of trauma and turmoil which paid off in a big way. She has being named in Glamour magazines women of the year for her Album and general cultural context. I honour solange in this post sharing with you some of her most stylish fashion choices and memorable moments.
