Susie bubble from style bubble, Leandra marine from man repeller, Aimee songs from songs of style. The end.

just Kidding. *insert evil grin here *

I have been blogging inconsistently for the longest time now but as of recently, i feel as though I’ve really developed a sense of the direction id like to be going in and realising that blogging is actually a fully fledged thing. Id like to raise a hypothetical glass to the wonderfully well dressed women who have inspired me on this journey. what about these women makes me ridiculously love them i hear you roar subconsciously. well, thanks for asking, I just like the next fashion enthusiast get tired of seeing the same ‘trending’ item styled to suicide. carbon copies of mannequins because of this i enjoy an outfit with a touch of sas and humour and one that says here i am in my entirety take it or leave it without the wearer even needing to speak this. so i hope this reflects in the pictures I’ve chosen to represent them with. The hardest thing about this post is not having it overrun with an insane amount of pictures. Here goes nothing i guess and .F.Y.I they are in no particular order.

1.Susie Lau aka susie Bubble from Style bubble.

Susie Bubble started blogging way back in 2006 and was THE first fashion blogger the industry or anyone had really seen. She paved the way for the normal everyday fashion observer to have an input be heard and listened too on online platforms.  You can learn more about her on her website here www.stylebubble.co.uk

Ten things about Susie Bubble…(excerpt from her website)

I’m British Born Chinese by way of Hong Kong – though often get mistaken for being Japanese/Korean by fellow Hong Kong-ers.

I grew up eating my way around the world because my parents are obsessed foodies – I will literally try everything and anything. Kangaroo steaks? Yum. Fried cicadas? Hmmm hmmm.

I have a disturbing weakness for period dramas – especially BBC ones!

I had two hamsters named Bobble and Bubble after the arcade game – they ended up killing each other though and when they died, I buried one under the apple tree and the other under the pear tree – I thought they’d be happier by themselves.

I went all the way through primary school thinking I was a high achiever but then got to secondary school and realised that I was actually quite a mediocrity.

My love of fashion was initially an act of rebellion against my parents and the ‘popular’ people at school – which then developed into something all consuming and now is my number one passion.

I take up tons of craft, DIY projects and other creative things only to leave them half finished and botched up – this is something I’m working on!

I have 3 younger sisters – we are all wildly different but are all outcasts in our own little ways.

My parents met in an airport and fell in love at first sight – they have a sickeningly together/stable marriage. Thus, the bar has been raised too high and I in turn have NO faith in love whatsoever.

Susie Bubble wasn’t made up by myself, it was my friend Sarah Hill at primary school that gave it to me. Then the whole class started calling me that – it’s because I always looked like I was in a world of my own, in a BUBBLE! I have not really grown out of this – you will often see me staring into space, fixated at nothing in particular or listening to my iPod oblivious to many things.

2. Leandra Medine from online blog Man Reppeller
Man repperller, an online fashion and lifestyle blog created, in her own words to ‘explore the expansive constellation of things women care about from a place of openness and humor, with the conviction that an interest in fashion doesn’t minimize one’s intellect’.
MR was created in her first year of college whilst studying journalism. |The name Man Repeller was derived due to her inability to hold down a successful relation was pinned down to the way she dressed.she was literally, a man Repeller. see what she did there. fast forward to today and Leandra Medine, author, wife and humorist, possibly one of the funniest women in the fashion industry. Her website which which she likes to call a nudist colony can be found here www.manrepeller.com

3. Aimee songs from songs of style. Last but certainly not least is my current youtube obsessions, Aimee Songs, who is also now an author.I have literally watched almost all of her videos, so i would more say she is my favourite blogger as opposed to blogger. I mean, they really are too different things. lol. I only really was aware of her this year from instagram during NYFW SS18. She is a blogger/vlogger from New York who runs blog songs of style, a fashion and interior design blog although she also posts travel and lifestyle too and has actually been blogging for about 8 years. What i really love about Aimme and what attracted me to her to continue watching her videos was that she really goes out of her way to find ways to give her viewers information that they may not get in such an insider way, like speaking to fashion insiders about there experiences with the fashion industry and how they got into it.I am very interested in all aspects f design including interior design and architecture, so Aimee being an interior designer really interests me with her posts about her home also. Aimees book is called capture your style and is a literal guide to instagram on how to take your platform and use it in the best possible way for you.
you can find her blog here www.songsofstyle.
