Balenciaga partners with World Food programme and Aims to end world poverty by 2030

For the Fall collection, Luxury fashion house Balenciaga has teamed up with the World Food Programme in a mission to end world poverty by 2030.

World food Programme is a United Nations charity organisation funded solely on voluntary donations, it is the leading humanitarian organisation in the world, fighting against world wide poverty.

On any given day the WFP delivers 5000 trucks, 20 ships, 92 planes with 12.6 billions in rations costing $0.31 per ration. They feed between 20 and 25 million children across 65 different countries through voluntary donations. (Receiving 5.9 BILLION in 2016)

From the 6th September to the 1st February Balenciaga will be donating 10% of sales made from regular retail prices in participating stores and online. So when you buy a jumper 10% of that money is going exclusively to the WFP, In addition to this Balenciaga has donated $250,000.
