Feeling Blue.

fashion, street style

As far as colour is concerned, I’m definitely more reserved. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I do have the occasional pop of colour, but on a whole it’s pretty monotone. With colour being very trendy of recent years It doesn’t seem to be something I’ve fully Indulged in. Of recent however I have noticed myself being drawn to one colour inparticaluar. Pink has always been a favourite colour of mine although it took me a while to realise it, the evidence pointing towards a favourite pink leather purse which was used to obliteration. Colour has an interesting affect on our psch and there is psychology behind this, studies show that many humans prefer colours from a shorter wavelength spectrum this means colours like blue as opposed to red. Blue has a calming effect on our minds which may be the reason we tend to prefer it over other colours like red and orange. I have tried red and it was just too overwhelming for my little ol’ brain. Well If you havent guessed by now the colour in question is indeed blue, inparticularly cobalt blue. I find this colour creeping into almost every clothes search favourite of mine that it’s most definitely becoming a trend. So I’ve collated my favourite cobalt blue pieces from my cart to share with you. As always these pieces are all pre-loved.

Really love the relaxed feel of these wool trousers as there from VB you know the quality will be great. The vintage levi is a great original piece that you wont see anyone else in.
Silk is my favourite fabric so an edgier colour adds a great statement to any wardrobe. I feel like we all love a ribbed anything so the jumper is a no brainer. The dress, which is also by Whistles has a lovely classy summer feel whilst still serving looks with its hue and pattern.

Do you have a favourite colour and are there any colours you’ve yet to incorporate into your wardrobe? Share your thoughts in the comment section

Day 3: London Fashion week S/S 2019

fashion

Day 3 at London Fashion week was greeted with shows like Delpozo, Roland Mouret and Preen. Here are a few of my favourite looks from each show.

Preen By Thornton Bregazzi

Preens designs were influenced by Traveller style. Richard Tisci spent time researching the Roma Gypsy community as well as Irish and Nomadic cultures. As cultural appropriation is a big concern for designers and consumers alike there is a thin line be tread. He states some of the proceeds from his show will be donated to a charity that helps refugees.

Roland Mouret Spring Summer 2019

Roland Mourets spring summer 19 show was inspired by 1974 film Emmanulelle. The show was about showcasing and debuting a collective voice of women involving political badges like the green in the green 2 piece look that Im really into. Designs consisted of light and airy Kaftan-esque dresses which work well in movement.

Margret Howell Spring Summer 19

This collection consisted of mainly 2 piece items, Margret showcases very wearable garments with a simple yet classic fluidity running through the show.

Delpozo spring summer 2019

Asish spring summer 2019

This was one of my favourite shows from the 3rd day of London fashion week. I like designers that capture a sense of mystery and fun. A collection that you can live your life and have fun in and this collection was definitely that with fun colours and sparkles in grown up silhouettes.

fashion

London Fashion week is back again at 180 strand showcasing some of the finest designers from around the world.

Here a some of my favourite shows from the first day.

Richard Malone

Malone showcased a collection rich in fine fabrics and constructed garments. I love the oversized utility look of the blue last outfit. His placing of Ruched fabrics outline the silhouette giving a new fresh feel to a tailored look.

Nicopanda

I love nicopanda. The show consisted of Acid neon cute and grungy pieces coming down the runway. I need almost everything from this show particularly the pink bomber and everything else in the top collage. This show was a fun mix of street wearability.
